Playing a live game has significantly few diversions, and you get to have a look at the reactions and body language of your opponents. Now, playing online is a completely different thing since you can’t really physically see your opponents. You can try talking and smack talking to put your opponents on lean, but don’t forget to focus. Playing multi-table at different sites can be quite confusing, and you should only play as many tables as you can concentrate on since this spells the difference between winning and losing. You don’t want to commit mistakes when playing poker, especially when money is at stake.

While practicing is still possible without money involved, you may want to do this first before you head on to tournaments or before playing online poker with real money and real opponents who may even be seasoned pros. Also, don’t ever play more than the budget you have allotted to lose. You can always take a break and play some other time or choose to play for free and train some more. Never ever think that you can win back the amount that you have lost. This is the misconception that has dug a lot of poker players deeper into debt. Don’t be like them play smart!

Playing when you are very tired and exhausted is a no-no, and you should try to play poker if your body needs to rest. Remember that playing poker smartly means you have to be in good condition. When you are tired, committing mistakes is rather easy and you don’t want to fold when you really have to raise!
